Sneak Peak: New Earring Design

Earrings…they haunt me in my sleep.  Actually, a lot of crochet and sewing designs plague my dreams.  It can be a good thing but mainly it just keeps me from sleeping.

This particular pair of earrings came to me after I finished a few bracelets.  I wanted to have something that could be worn with the bracelets, as a set, or stand alone by themselves.  I think these earrings fulfill both purposes.

My next goal, in my quest to conquer wire, will be a really cute crochet necklace and crochet choker.  I already have the designs in mind, I just need to find time to actually create them.

Let me know what you guys think of the earrings.  Leave a message below or leave a comment on my Facebook page.  I plan to have the earrings up for sale on Zo-Zo’s Space later this week!

I was going to wait until Friday….but nah!  LOL!

The Giveaway begins today!

Hooray for Giveaways!

I have a three year old and rhyming is a big deal right now.  After some soul searching, a dangerous amount of excitement over bracelets, and asking you guys on Facebook, I decided to giveaway one of the new bracelet designs.  I’ll make November’s giveaway earring!  Did I mention I was excited about these bracelets?  They are so cute!  They look great as a single bracelet and they also look fabulous doubled.  I was so excited, I made a tiny one for Zo-Zo!

To enter the giveaway, you can jump to the bottom of the page OR you can enter on Facebook here (mobile friendly link)!

The giveaway is run through Rafflecopter.  There are five different ways to enter the giveaway and one of the ways can be done daily (increasing your chances by 6 entries).  The giveaway will last one week.  I will email the winner and post onto Zo-Zo’s Space on Facebook on October 9th.

The new bracelets are available for purchase now!  Thank you all for your support and love!  Now let’s have some fun!

“Making it thru Monday” Review #23

So very exciting! My crocheted tunic was one of the most viewed submissions for last weeks Elk Studio’s “Making it thru Monday.” Go to this site to access pictures of the tunic and for a link to the free pattern.

ELK Studio - Handcrafted Crochet Designs

ImageAnother spectacular week of great projects on my ELK Studio’s Facebook page!  Be sure to head over and check everything out and maybe show off one of your wonderful creations too!

Here are the most viewed submissions from last week!

Erica from Zo-Zo-s Space created this beautiful tunic.  You can see by the picture that her stitching is perfectly aligned and everything looks so uniform, not to mention the color looks great on her too!.  Erica also makes some wonderful jewelry which takes an eye for detail, and it certainly rubs off on her big projects as well.  Her new Facebook cover page will get you started if you want to take a look at her work.  There was a little difficulty in finding the free pattern but Erica was able to find it here.  I hope you enjoy!

Venturing into The World of Wire (free pattern)

Don’t forget Zo-Zo’s Space is having a Flash Sale that ends tonight.  33% OFF of purchases $50 or more.

I’ve had the desire to crochet with wire all year.  The task seemed too daunting so I quickly put the patterns I had saved in the back of my queue.  I recently realized that one of my favorite stores carries recycled sterling silver wire.  I ordered some with my recent yarn purchase… and boy am I glad that I did.  I LOVE crocheting with wire.  I have a lot to learn but the end results are just gorgeous, despite the mistakes.

My first pattern I attempted was posted by Sue from Mrs. Micawber Blog.  The pattern is titled “Bird’s Nest Wire Crochet Earrings & Tutorial.”  It is an easy and beautiful pattern for your first wire attempt.  You can find the free pattern here.

I was going to snap a picture of myself wearing the earrings…but after several attempts I gave up and put the earrings onto Janet (my jewelry display bust).  Let me know what you guys think!
